• The Miller Family Albums, circa 1914. These two albums are heirlooms of the Miller (Muller) family, originally assembled by Anna Goeres (Miller), the wife of John Peter Miller, also known as Pete Miller. Anna died tragically in 1915 at the age of thirty-six, leaving behind a husband and seven children, ranging in age from four to eighteen years. The family is very fortunate that she created these albums, as they hold the only known pictures assembled of these distant ancestors.  The column below entitled "Written Caption" is the text that was actually written by Anna Goeres or other relatives to describe each picture.

Goeres Family - Pete's wife's family (from Miller Album - Blue)
Peter Goeres and Elizabeth Koch family, circa 1895 (estimated by Barbara's age at about 3 in this picture).  This may have been taken after the death of the daughter Rosa in December, 1894, due to scarlet fever.

The Goereses Grandma Millers brothers & wives
Wedding picture with two couples, one lady in a wedding dress. Apparently, these people are P. Theodore Goeres (man on left, sitting) and his wife Dora Kenkal.
UPDATE: 09/01/99:  The man on the right is John Goeres and either his wife Mary Ellen Kurt.  I can't make out which "wife" goes with which Goeres brother.
