• Dean Wood is Matt's first cousin once removed descended (as is Matt) from Alma Olinda Olson who along with her mother Mathilda Pettersdotter immigrated to the U.S. in 1891 where they joined father and husband Christian Ferdinand Olsson at Denison, Iowa.  Dean has researched his Swedish ancestry for nearly 5 years and has amassed a database of approximately 7,000 ancestors and relatives.  He is an accomplished genealogist and author whose research has contributed to two articles on Swedish genealogy published by the Swedish American Genealogist.  He is currently working on his second edition of the Olson family history and maintains contact with numerous Swedish relatives today to further his research and interest in Swedish genealogy.  He provided the entire Olson ancestry line which dates to the late 1500s as well as much of the German Storjohann line available here.  
• Larry Miller - again, Matt's first cousin, once removed, living in the Seattle, Washington, area.  He helped to get Matt started in the genealogy research back in the mid-1990s.  His trip to Luxembourg helped to pave the way for the founding research for the Miller and Goeres family lines, including making contact with existing living Goeres relatives in Luxembourg.
