The
following are Camryn's ultrasound images from various
times before her birth.
We had so many ultrasounds because it was found that
Camryn has a condition called "duplication" of the kidney, where
about 1/3 to 1/2 of her left kidney is duplicated. This condition did
not contribute to her premature birth. It could mean surgery in the
future, but isn't affecting her so far. The condition was noticed in
the first ultrasound on December, 1998. We then had several
follow up ultrasounds in Cedar Rapids and at The University of Iowa
Hospitals and Clinics. The one on February 19th was taken while
Corinne was first admitted to St. Lukes hospital with vaginal bleeding.
